Billing

The small print, in plain words.

Do I need a card for the trial?

Yes. The membership starts with a 7-day trial through Stripe Checkout, and a card is taken up front. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged.

Monthly or yearly?

Same studio either way. Monthly is £9.99; yearly is £89 — about £7.42 a month. Both start with the same 7-day trial.

I joined on Lite or Pro. What changes?

Nothing you need to do. You keep your price and your renewal date, and you now have the whole studio, including Publish, Continuity and Assist.

How do I cancel?

In Studio, open Settings → Subscription → Cancel subscription, or go straight to blocwrite.com/cancel, then confirm on Stripe, who handle our payments. There is no call and no form, and if you cancel during the trial you are not charged. You can also email customerservice@blocwrite.com and we will do it for you.

What happens if I cancel?

Renewal stops, you keep writing until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. Export your books before then — Word, EPUB and PDF are always included.

Is AI included?

Assist is included and runs on your own OpenRouter key, so you pay your provider directly for what you use. It stays off until you turn it on — the writing tools never need it.

Who owns what I write?

You do. Blocwrite claims no ownership of your writing, and everything you export is yours.
