This Refund Policy forms part of your agreement with Blocwrite together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Payments are processed by Stripe. Plan prices: Lite £7.99/mo · Pro £10.99/mo.
1. No free forever plan
Blocwrite does not offer an ongoing free writing plan. Access is via a Lite or Pro trial/subscription (or admin/guest access we grant). Creating an account and verifying email alone does not unlock Studio.
2. Lite and Pro trial (card required)
When you start Lite or Pro through Stripe Checkout, we offer a 7-day trial. A payment method is collected up front. If you cancel before the trial ends using the billing portal or cancellation path we provide, you will not be charged for that trial period. If you do not cancel in time, Stripe will charge the plan price and the subscription renews automatically until cancelled.
We do not offer a second trial for the same person or household after a trial has been used, except at our sole discretion (for example a documented billing error).
3. Subscription charges — generally non-refundable
Once a paid subscription period (Lite or Pro) has been charged, that charge is non-refundable, including for partial months, unused features, change of mind, failure to cancel before renewal, or dissatisfaction with optional AI providers you connect yourself — except where UK or other applicable law requires a refund, or where we agree in writing that a charge was made in error.
Current reference prices: Lite £7.99/month; Pro £10.99/month. Taxes may apply. Upgrades/downgrades may be prorated or scheduled as described at Checkout or in Studio billing settings.
4. How to cancel
Cancel through Studio → Settings → Subscription (billing portal) or the cancellation links we provide, or via Stripe’s customer portal when available. Cancelling stops future renewals. You typically keep access until the end of the current paid or trial period.
5. Digital content and cooling-off (UK consumers)
If you are a consumer in the UK, you may have rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. For digital services supplied immediately, cooling-off rights can be limited once supply begins with your request and acknowledgement. By starting a paid plan or carded trial and using Studio, you request immediate supply of the digital service. Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you believe a statutory refund applies, email us with your account email and Stripe receipt; we will review in good faith.
6. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please contact us before filing a card chargeback so we can resolve billing mistakes quickly. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks after you used the Service may result in account suspension and collection of amounts lawfully owed, without limiting other remedies.
7. Access end and manuscript retention
When trial or paid access ends and you have no continuing entitlement, Studio locks. We may keep server-side manuscripts for a limited retention window (typically about 30 days) and then permanently delete them, or sooner if you delete your account. Export backups before deletion.
