Before you settle in
Can I bring the book I’ve already started?
Yes. Import a Word (.docx) manuscript and carry on from where you are. You don’t need to start a new book to use Blocwrite.
What’s included in the membership?
The whole Studio: writing, planning, revision, reader sharing, book formatting and exports. Choose £9.99 a month or £89 a year. Optional Companion features use your own provider key; provider usage is separate.
How does the trial work?
Choose monthly or yearly membership at checkout to start your 7-day trial. A card is required. Cancel before the trial ends and you won’t be charged. After that, your chosen membership renews until you cancel.
Can I use Blocwrite without Companion?
Absolutely. Write your chapters, plan the story, keep checkpoints, share with readers and export your book without connecting a model. Companion and the assisted writing tools are optional and off by default.
What does Companion do?
It’s a conversation beside your manuscript. Ask about a character, explore a scene or get another reading of a passage. Connect your own provider key to use it. Suggested manuscript changes are shown for you to review before you accept them.
Can my readers leave notes?
Yes. Share a chapter with a link. Your readers can highlight passages and leave comments in their browser, without a Blocwrite account. Their notes come back beside your manuscript.
What can I export?
Export your book as EPUB, PDF or Word. Publish also includes book design settings, print cover templates and submission tools, so you can prepare the version your next reader needs.
What happens to my writing when I use Companion?
The prompt and the manuscript context supplied for that request pass through Blocwrite’s servers to your connected provider. That provider’s terms govern how it handles the request. Blocwrite does not use your writing to train models. You can use the writing tools without connecting a provider.
